This informative event was attended by members who were elected by the lodge to represent our lodge at the spring meeting of the North Carolina Machinist Council meeting; the members were Eric Wiggins, David Lugar, Richard Davis, J D Almond and Wayne Kellough.

The Meeting consisted of class that was held on Friday April the 25th 2008 on the IAM pension plan and an add length discussion on an upcoming proposal surrounding the changing of the current dues structure that will be discussed and voted on at the 2008 Grand Lodge convention held in Orlando Fla  the week of  September the 8 th.

On Saturday April the 26th 2008 there was a meeting of the North Carolina Machinist Council that included a majority of IAM locals in the state of North Carolina, reports were given and plans for the upcoming year on the North Carolina Machinist Council activities which were reported by North Carolina Machinist Council President Will Cashion.

Sister Donna Seaman former member of local lodge 108 who transferred to IAM local lodge 10 in Richmond Va. Was at the meeting , she is the recording secretary for the North Carolina Machinist Council and this was her last meeting at which she resigned because of her new job in Richmond Va.

There was a pig picking dinner held that same day that was enjoyed by all , and right after the dinner International President Thomas Buffenbarger showed up and gave a stirring 2 hour speech to those in attendance.
